We would rather be corrected than be wrong. This page explains how to report an error on AWRSHIFT and what happens when you do.
How to report an error
Write to us via the contact page with the article URL, what you believe is wrong, and — if you have one — a source. Corrections are prioritized over all other correspondence.
What we do
Material errors — a wrong fact, number, quote, or conclusion — are fixed in the text, and the article gets a dated correction note describing what changed. If a correction changes an article’s conclusion, the note says so explicitly. Minor issues (typos, formatting, broken links) are fixed without a note.
Updates are not corrections
We regularly refresh articles as evidence changes; a refresh updates the article’s visible date. A correction note is reserved for things we got wrong at publication time — we don’t blur the two.
